My experience in Kindergarten...
I started my practicum period in a school called "Castex". The school is situated in San Carlos de Bariloche. It opened its doors in 1991, and it continued growing through the years. All the classrooms are situated in the first floor since there are many students with different disabilities. As soon as I started the subject I gave the agreement to the school’s head teacher to sign it up, and I agreed on a schedule with the course’s teacher to start my kindergarten’s practicum in Kinder 5.
Castex Kindergarten has students from 3 to 5 years old, all of them with different economic and cultural differences. Many of them are from Argentina, but there are some of them from Chile and Colombia. I decided to start my practicum in this school since I worked there since 2012, and I really like the school’s values and objectives.
The activities developed in this period of the practicum were intended to promote motivation among the children providing them with creative and real situations to use the language. The objectives, activities and the use of resources were coherent from a pedagogical perspective point of view.

My Lesson Plannings...
To present the topic "Body parts" I introduced my fiend "Lobster" to the kids. I asked them some questions about it such as "Can you help me to count his legs". The children were too excited to meet my friend Lobster and play with him. Then, we watched a video and we also danced the "Head and Shoulders" a song all together, it was a great moment!

The second class I decided to start our class playing a memory game to reharse the vocabulary taught the previous lesson. Then I prepared a big monster made in eva foam to encourage students to recognize colours and body parts. Finally I told them a story called "Big Green Monster" They loved it!

During the third class we danced again the song "Head and Shoulders"... I also encouraged kids to design their own monsters, I provided them with some templates and some crayons to create them! Children enjoyed the activity and their productions were lovely!

I prepared a big dice to play the last class of my practicum. Students had to throw the dice and draw a monster on the board. At the end of the class I gave a card and some candies to the kids. It was a nice experience and I enjoyed it a lot!
